Hey at least you can get on when it's up. I'm "protected" by a Christian school from online games and downloading music, etc. Yes they actually call it protecting us. I call it horse shit.

Yeah, they were the only ones who'd accept me. I need to get my license so I can get a real job and my own net at home.

edit: I really, really do.

I wonder what the hell is wrong with it.. Why does it keep going down.. maybe im paranoid but i get on … spend maybe an hour these last coupld of days and boom it goes down... thankfully i got to ach this time.. wont have to wait another long time till the boat gets here.. i just hope my mount i still there =\
-
The reason is something called bugs. Sometimes they are just lil annoyances. Other times, they are just plain pains in the ass. And even others are horrid and are HARD to track down.
-
kinda figured it was a bug… just... thought maybe someone knew what it was heh.. *sobs* i want my sent back i didnt get my fix yet... this is almost like givein someone a hit of crack off a 20$ rock and tellin em you cant have anymore till the pipe gets fixed
-
Well, sometimes, without good debugging information (like keeping track of what commands were done and with what arguments, whether a certain event was done, etc), it might be hard to track down if you can't narrow it down. Plus, it looks to be just Syn that is working on code, and he's rather busy.
-
yea i understand… he has alot to do... but my question is.. who did it and what was it :P haha
-
It was someone and it was something.

no it wasnt shut up hahahaha

well, the downtime is caused by our faulty startup script, which londo is helping me troubleshoot right now
on a greater scale a lot of the bugs are caused by the horrible (in my opinion ) memory management system our codebase uses. Why in god's name they wrote it to be so obfuscated, i have no idea, but i'm reworking it right now. Eventually we're just going to write our own codebase (for the 2000s, not the early 90s), but since i don't even own a computer right now it's a bit early to think 'bout that.
