Equipment

With the new imms coming in to check equipment over for various things, I'd like to see all equipment take on a reset to current stats. This means removal of any enchantments put on, making them new. While having old stat stuff is a great novelty, it isn't at all fair. And, the reset will better be able to see where adjustments are needed involving PK, instead of having new vs old equipment basis for comparison.

Amen to that. We had a long ass discussion about this last night and alot of good ideas came up.

yeah, I agree. The code is actually in place to update items that we have marked as "updated" when people log in. I can just expand it to all items. however i'll be careful not to reset the affects on an item.. for example if somebody got really lucky and got a war-hat without any negs, this wouldn't be affected.

That would totally take away all advantages to going to druid for enchants… druid/alchemists already got screwed when u changed scrolls this would make monk by far, the best cleric class togo... druid wouldnt really get anything special

They can still re enchant equipment. He's trying to get all the old stat enchanted eq reset as it's extremely unbalancing.

Yeah, because regenning hp/move in the wilds isn't that special. Not to mention that no one would as for their stuff to be reenchanted. They would just magically be enchanted out of the blue. At the worst, it will affect people with old stat stuff, like myself, that has such rediculous AC on them that it is unfair. Even on items that are not supposed to have AC on them from enchanting to begin with.

before you all start crying, i never said anything about enchanted items, i was talking about affects on items which have been changed and thus shouldn't be there anymore
