One thing I'd like to do to Plith's layout is remove the two diagonal exits leading to the East Gate, such that it's a pure east-west room. The purpose of this is to make adding an actual gate into city for closing it off for some reason or another. I plan on having Lonan put back as the gatekeeper, with appropriate scripting as such. The gate would normally be open, except in times of war (ie, approaching invasions) and distress (ie, Reckoning). Perhaps close it at night much like the drawbridge is done on the Palace. It's ok on the Palace I think, but it could put a damper on the main gate to have it close have the time of the game. But closed it would be done for some periods.
The origins of all this stems from an idea I have for Yurien. Growing more controlling in the government, what with his new Palace recently having been built and the new Wharf project in high gear, the Emperor wishes to tighten his grip on the flow of influences into the city. With the customs officers being trained on what to look for when they inspect incoming individuals, the East Gate needs a guard to watch out for anyone bringing in illicit goods and/or people. With Lonan's history as an excellent watchman and unwavering loyalty to the city of Plith and Empire of Seralia, Yurien ruled everyone else out for the job. He wishes to keep the city pure of the evils that seem to crowd the city.
This allows for the hidden passage I've put into the city to bypass the customs officer (and that will not be announced to players until they do a particular quest, which will require they use it). It leads into the sewers from the wharf and allows for a smuggler ring to exist as well as a black market for players to get things that may start to disappear from the shops due to Yurien pressuring the Mayor to make the city a better place to live, if he caught his meaning...

On the subject of Yurien's desire for control, he's troubled by the inhabitants of the city. The strange and vile creatures that live in Plith have no place in the city. For instance, the rabid wolves he finds troubling. They are a health concern, as many legitimate citizens have fallen victim to their blight and he's reached his limits. He's ordered the city officials to exterminate and expel any vermin and or creature that doesn't belong. (In reality, this will just be me redoing the wandering mobiles to make them FIT in with the theme of Plith.)

And... I think the Mayor needs a name. In fact, all the unique mobiles need a name, such as the plane tunneler. I was planning on making the plane tunneler an Avatar.
Edit: fixed the him reference in the last sentence, in case that confused anyone.
