I thought I'd make a post for discussion of stuff to do with the website. It will be our primary tool for advertising to people who aren't mud savvy.
My first idea is to ditch the "Ships" section. I mean, is 'intrical' even a word? 8)
I'll get together content for the missing pages ASAP.

:lol: On the subject of not shitting up the board by making an empty post, I should note that Jonas/Soup got http://sentiencemud.net pointing at the correct address. So we at least have a base to put together stuff on.
When I feel really ambitious, I'm going to try to eliminate as much redundancy as possible in integrating all this by building a database - so that there's no need to update 5 different things (help entry, website page, etc. etc.) every time a bit of documentation is updated somewhere. Right now the helpfile editor is a good place to start; it's simplistic, but an extremely complicated database isn't necesarry until you scale it up to hundreds of thousands of entries.
Despite Whisp's lackadaisical approach to doing pretty much everything else, at least he did leave us a half decent website design. Don't get me wrong, it's far from perfect, but at least it looks pretty - at least better than I could do 8)
