just wondering about dispel room... why does it dispel rooms to the east/south/west/north when its dispel "room" it should only dispel the room you are in if it was dispel area or rooms or something it would dispel all rooms around you

This may be a bug and I will talk to Syn. If it isn't, I agree completely. Maybe we need a 'dispel area' spell that is a beefed up dispel room.

I believe that Syn commented that it is supposed to hit the room and adjacent rooms as well.

I think it's wise to point out that dispel room failing to hit adjacent rooms will make it basically worthless for taking down roomshields.

true, but cast in the correct room it may make a difference. Also, it wouldn't necessarily be meant just for that. what about spells like wither, inferno, afterburn, ice storm? Maybe it doesn't work for them currently, but should it? Dispel area would take care of room shields (if this is a course of action decided on)

it does affect all those spells.
How about this, change the name of the spell, leave the spell effects how they are and voila, problem solved

Too simple. I say we change the affect to dispelling the entire area, rename it to gosplat and work our way from there.
