New style of auction?

Instead of the conventional style of auction, I thought up a type where we could have multiple items up for auction at a time. Say... 5 items up for auction at a time. What about all the spam? Well, when an item is first put up for auction it is announced on the auction channel to everyone, but none of the bids will be announced unless the player has "watched" that specific auction. Each of the 5 slots could be assigned a number, and players could "auc watch 3" for example to get all the bid information on that item. On top of this, there could be an auction queue of... say, 10 - 15 items, which would be assigned the next available current auction slot. All the auction commands would remain the same, except a number would have to be attached to the end. Also, if the person is watching only one of the auctions up at a specific time, they should be able to omit the auction number at the end of a command as it should be assumed they are trying to interact with the auction they are watching. Anyway, theres my idea. Have fun with it.

Instead of the auction as it is now, why not make auction houses and have people bid on things? auction item amount auction set itemnumber buyout amount auction set time amount auction info auction pull item auction claim The first will put the item up on auction at the minimum price at the maximum auction time, which could be set for a 24 hour period. The second sets the amount that an item can be outright bought without having to bid upon it continuously. So, if you really wanted that shiny dust ball that has a buyout price of 25k, you could do it. The third will set the amount of time that a player can have the auction run, from a minimum of 5 minutes to a maximum of 24 hours. The fourth will show all the stats that is visible to the person, depending on skills gained. If desired, it could show who is bidding and who is selling, or could remain anonymous until the item is sold. Then the seller can be revealed to just the buyer or globally, as the same as the buyer, until the coins and item are claimed. The fifth will allow you to pull an item off of the auction queue if you decide to keep it. The last will allow the winning participant to claim their item and the seller to claim the coins won in the bidding. Example of what it could look like, time in hours:minutes: ```` Queue Item Min Bid Buyout Time Num. Left 204 a dust ball 250 25000 01:22 ```` Person comes by, sees the dust ball, wants to bid 450 so it changes to: ```` Queue Item Min Bid Buyout Time Num. Left 204 a dust ball 450 25000 01:19 ```` Or person could just buy it out right. ```` Queue Item Min Bid Buyout Time Num. Left 204 a dust ball sold 25000 0:00 ```` auction info 204 A dust ball, sold by X, bought by Y.

I like that idea, but that means people would have to go to auction houses to check what items were for auction unless it was announced globally for how long and what item was being put up for auction, which would be nice. It would also need to have a minimum time.

Not a bad idea, but I prefer the global auction myself.
