I STROGLY agree with Xavis. With second class you dont have many options at all, and the few you do are crappy options. If you want good stuff, you pretty much have to get the same old crap every time.
I imagine first class is lacking as well, but noone really spends enough time in first class to care.

most ppl dont say second class for like a week or so and us 120's just sit there with the same old eq and nothing to do

and how many people are there in 4th class compared to 2nd or 3rd?
Alot of people stop leveling by the time they reach 3rd due to many things. Things which I'm not sure why, but there are more 2nd and third classers than fourth classers.
Besides, don't we have enough weapons as is?
-
I don't care what class, but there is an overabundance of swords and axes in the game. There really needs to be more worthwhile choices of all the others for all classes.
-
Again, I agree. You can't even get all the types from the weaponmaster in the newbie dungeon, where you request a weapon type. No exotic, no flail I don't think, no spear, no whip, and I would assume no ranged.
-
I suspect the people who voted for fourth class are the pack rats in the game :P
-
Fourth class needs more variety I believe. So everyone doesnt fight with same eq all the time. Granted all classes could use some more choices, but the 4th class ones are the ones that people keep.
I also would like to see some more remort only eq, weapons and armor, and maybe ever lights, something kewl.
-
i can see the point that since 4th dclass is where people are likely to stay the longest (until we open up some new avenues, but that won't be for a little while until the current stuff is fine tuned) that 4th class EQ should be added, but I think each area needs a good variety of different level eq, even if it may be oriented towards one level range 8)

Well this has come up before but I'll say it again. Syn you need a imm or two to just go over all the mortal eq in the game. First have Whisp do a text print out of all the vnumbers and eq stats and just have a imm whos only job is to balance the eq and mainly to make sure there is a set of everything for every level, class and maybe race throughout the game. Then make sure the eq is avaible to the mortals. Any steps needed to get the eq work, etc.

I just recruited an immortal for this purpose, actually, and will probably hire a few more.

Always said it was a good idea.

I agree with more variety in 4th class; we need some specialized equipment, like for individual races and such, or equipment that would be better against certain races. It's not, however, urgent.
I also see the point of having more 2nd and 3rd class stuff, though. I would have to say that we probably should have a little more equipment (weapons in particular) for 2nd class, but people don't tend to stay there for very long, so I think 3rd should get more attention. As it is, there are like 3 or 4 level 75 weapons that are all virtually the same; I know 3 are Vortex, Barbarian's Axe, and Shining Claymore. Luckily there is a little variety of armor out there if you go to a lot of different continents and such, but those weapons are too similar.. they're all 2-handed and do the same damage (unless they've been changed since I mostly stopped playing).
Overall, add some nice stuff to 3rd first, then add a little specific stuff to 4th (which I voted for originally, but can't take my vote back now), then add a crapload to 2nd.

Aren't there like 10 different weapons with different weapon types for 2nd/3rd class (I don't remember) in Olaria?

-
10 different types of weapons for 2nd and 3rd class, all same level, all same damage. You're talking bout the rezian eq.
-
What about the shovel/dagger of solaris/ball and chain/cat of nine tails/whatever else is there? I'd check, but we've hit some downtime.

Having just finished third class I can tell you that I had no problem finding eq to fit my level.
-
My biggest problem with 3rd class eq is damage on weapons. As a remort i need 9.5 mil to get from level 81 to 82\. The only decent leveling spot really is POA. Now, I am there fighting the same mobs that 4th classers are fighting with a weapon that deals 162 damage (can't find anything higher). This makes it take quite awhile to kill things that give decent exp. Maybe just add some remort only weapons that deal more damage to help out
-
There are two remort areas currently under construction with remort only eq and weapons available for various levels. As soon as they're released im sure the problems will just melt away, kinda like my underwear when Lunani walks into the room:D
