Background Music

How about it? I have loads of music that would be great additions for any MUD or roleplaying game. Each area or city would have their own little music.

I'm sure we have the technology available to us so something like this is possible. If players want to hear the music, they can download a zip file with all the music.

Bear with me. It's late and I'm trying to sound as cohesive as humanly possible.

yaaaay theme music 8-) it would have to be orriginally composed :P and no batty boy, trance crap ! memba dat !

damn… originally composed eh. This is gonna be a lot tougher than what I expected it to be. Can't we just put credit where credit is due? :P This is a free game btw. No profits made here!! And I hate trance.

Meh. I tend to like playing all kinds of random music while playing.

ok, since creating the music oneself would seem waaaaay too hard for many of us, and even harder to create something people would want to listen to, I have a different idea!!! Ambience sound. Let the sound of the wind ruslting the trees and grass, and the docks creaking as the wave crash into it, be the game's music! Much easier and nice too!

  • I am all for the theme music. I compose songs for a game I am making so if there was a place we could donate music I am sure other people as well could donate there own songs too. I do think Midi files would be best seeing as they are easy to put on loop and you don't notice the song goes back into itself. Well just a thought on page for donations all together would be cool.

yea, that's a problem with theme music. If it's crappy Midi music, people might just want to listen to it about once or twice, shut the thing off and put on their own music. We gotta try to add something that won't waste the artist's time and work.
