I don't know how or if smoke bombs work right now but here's an idea. Have them so they can be used for escape. Let's say I bite off more than I can chew. I toss a smoke bomb and bail. And yes, I think it should be able to be utilized mid-battle. Seems like way too good a thing to have but I think it should be something that a remort could use. Someone who doesn't have the skill for them could be punished for trying to use them.
Like it could explode in their eyes and blind them, and keep the battle going, that way they're almost sure to die.

techincally, i believe you can throw smoke bombs mid battle..
not sure off the top of my head, but i think i have done it before…
doesnt cause any effects i've ever seen, maybe some small amount of damage, the bombs went into the mobs inven.

oh you can throw smoke bombs all you want, they make pretty, useless smoke..or..if you throw them directly at someone, they do like….2 damage
