Eq Availability for good vs for evil

~~@Ithilidin:~~ > Gods.. No more damage roll in the game. Seriously. I keep trying to get it reduced, not add more. It isn't because of old stat equipment. That only affects AC based things. I have gotten better damage roll enchants since the enchanting change than before it. I am currently at 190 damage roll and I am willing to bet that I could break 200 if I looked. You are good Ithilidin, I as evil do not have the availability to have that high of hr/dr, that was my point. :)

I editted my post since I hit reply before finishing my thoughts :P And the only thing I am wearing that is anti-anything are the thizbalds, which give 17 damage roll, if I remember right.

Hmm red, i think you have a good point. I personally wouldnt mind just ditching most of the anti-good, anti-evil, anti-neutral flags on stuff. I just don't like them personally. Perhaps we could modify the bless spell or curse spell a little bit to allow the item to be adapted to an align even if it is not originally so? Don't get me wrong ,there are a few items inthe game where such flags would be necesarry, but I could probably count them on one hand. Could i have people's thoughts on this? It seems a bit ROMish and cut-and-dry to assume there are many weapons which are restricted to good, neutral or evil. But I welcome other peoples opinions on how this would affect the game. BTW, just so you guys know, damroll weighs in like this: every time you hit a dude (lets say one hit of a round of combat), it adds to the damage the damroll times the skill percentage. So for example, if your damroll is 80, and you are wielding an axe and your axe skill is 100% it adds 80 dam to every hit. If your damroll is 80, you are wielding an axe and your axe skill is 50% it adds 40 dam to every hit. This is the only way it is applied. Just thought I'd let you guys know 8). This is damage before reduction as well, which is a subtle concept – it means that the 80 dam added does not necesarrily translate into 80 hp taken from your opponent per hit, because it goes on to factor in armor class, vulns and resistances, spells applied (such as sanct), etc.

I agree that the anti-evil/anti-whatever tags kinda suck. They wouldn't if there was equivalent eq for all aligns, but there just isn't - especially in gaunts, weapons and boots. I for one would really like to see those anti- tags removed, especially because most of the eq it's on it doesn't make a whole lot of sense… I can understand having anti-good on the sword of satan, but most of the items it's on are fairly standard.

Ive removed the anti's from both of those pairs of gauntlets. I'll remove them from other eq within the game as I see them unless it's really, really suited to have anti-good/anti-evil tag.

How about the boots off the mist demon in Mystica? Think it's boots of sir helm.. that's the only one I can think of off the top of my head

Thanks Syn. That is what I had been wanting for a while now. :) Also, while it can pertain to equipment, the frenzy spell is only available to bards or monks at the moment, leaving out all evil characters. Can something be added or changed to allow a similiar affect for them or allow access to the spell? Good can only cast on good, neutral on neutral.

Wind knight's Boots are Anti-good, perhaps those should be changed?
