Ok, this topic will be for ideas dealing with magic, be it for new spells, improvements for existing ones... whatever.
My first ideas are:
For all the arch-mages complaining about that subclass, I propose a skill called 'multi-cast'. The jist of this would be the same idea behind scroll scribing, only casting them. The mana cost would be lower than the sum total mana of the spells involved. How much lower is skill dependant. I'd say limit the number of spells to three, or make more than three VERY difficult and costly on failure. :)
Second, for those spell affects that can be cast on armor/weapons (like bless, fireproof, etf), have there be a chance that the enchant spell for it can make it change the hours to -1 (and of course, failures can strip them). Not sure if there's an enchant object, but how about have that if it doesn't exist, with similar results. :)

Holy sword/holy shield:
This spell, when cast, should add the bless flag to the weapon/shield since they are being made holy.

not to gripe, but doesnt good get enough shit?
how about unholy sword? or other unholy stuff, to give evil races?
we have evil churches, which idealy worship evil gods, why cant we "bless" weapons and armor with unholy power.
just a thought.

Change wind of confusion to cast confusion. This may cause the victim to flee/walk around randomly, attack something else or stop combat. Duration being no more than a tick or two.
