Alright folks. Need to know how you want to be notified, and also have a request for y'all.
First, the request. Go through the member list and find alternate names you had on the old board, send a private message with that names user/pass combo and I'll get rid of it, or just login to that name and deactivate it. That'll give a more accurate reflection of how many are here.
Now, on to the question: How do you want to be notified when the game is back up? (provided you aren't on the site at the time, etc)
First, there's the newsletter system. While made just for folks who subscribe, I -can- send out an email to every addy listed for members.
Second, there's a simple forum post about it, likely in Announcements.
Third, I can post it up as a message (the box that currently says Notes part 2). All of these methods will feature the connection info when it becomes available to me.

There's no choice "D) All of the above" so I went with C.

Use the Newletter system it would be the best way to tell everyone what is happening.

My self i'd like to be notified with all the above with huge emphasis on the news letter but because it wasnt in the choices i'd like to see a huge note on the homepage when i open up explorer. (heh i got this site as my homepage)

You see that option on top that says, "Just a 'message post' on the front page."? I believe that's exactly what that means, unless I'm interpreting either that or you wrong.

A newsletter would be great, even on a weekly basis, you could incluse links all the popular threads from here a nice story, player profile and any other stuff you want to tell us about. I dont always come here and look for new threads so being told weekly about currnt discussion, uptime/downdime when it back up and such would be great

Another link to a different topic, sadly, but I've added a call for people to be newsletter admins over there.

It says the server is online, but I am not able to connect. Anyone else having this problem?

i like the message on the front. much more nicer. quick, easy, and you don't have to go rifling through all that porn spam… err, e-mails. :)
