Blood magic

    Ok, idea for crusaders

    Blood Magic

This skill would allow the crusader to "borrow" hp from his mount.
syntax something similar to the thing where transfer mana to hp.
    Must be mounted of course.
    blood mountsname xxxx

where mountsname is keyword of mount
xxxx = amount of hp to borrow

limit it also, only a certain number of times in a combat situation.
xxxx can only be a certain percentage of mounts and/or riders max hp. Cant kill the mount this way. Also maybe if rider does this mount loses 1 attack as sign of blood being drawn out.

Also if mounts were to be assigned a certain amount of mana could be used to "borrow" mana or move even

would add another argument to syntax

    blood mountsname xxx hp/mana/move

Anyways, just an idea, I know in raw form would be overpowering, but I think it should be able to be limited, to prevent the overpowering and still be a useful skill.

    Talk away. :)

just being honest here, but this has to be one of the dumbest ideas ive ever heard. First off, i dont see anything but a vampire drawing blood out of ANYTHING and secondly, they definately dont gain any power out of it, so why should anyone else. Thirdly, this is almost the same thing as monk's reverie, except there are no negative effects to the person gaining the hp/mana whatever. I'm giving this one two thumbs down. That is all.

    I concur.

Vampires dont gain any power out of it? They live off of it. I don't agree with the spell, I think crusader has enough currently, other than the lack of mounted skills, such as the shield bash that has been mentioned, and some other things. Realistically a mount helps you a lot more than batting away some flies with a room echo now and then.

Didnt really mean as if they were actually drawing blood out of the mount. That was just the name given to the skill in the rpg I got this idea from. I think the basic idea could be used with proper balancing as to be helpful and useful to the Crusader with out being overpowering. Just not sure on what that balancing would have to be. If you remember the reverie thing was a big balancing question when first came out as well. As most new skills tend to be.

I'll agree with Belexus that for the most part, Crusaders already get enough stuff… let's give some more stuff to some of the remort clerics, like the friggen adept; we get stuff that is practically useless... Light Shroud lasts a total of 3 hours.. right when you cast it, it's friggen gone, I don't think Avatar Shield is working, Turn Undead and Exorcism sound pointless, and although I don't have it yet, I've been told that Glorious Bolt, while powerful, is still overshadowed by a lot of other skills (although that could have changed since I was told that).

glorious bolt takes two rounds to cast and only works on undead. It's not even that strong.

~~@Xavis:~~ > glorious bolt takes two rounds to cast and only works on undead. It's not even that strong. Ouch, I was looking forward to that too.. so what do we (adepts) get that's of any friggen use? (aside from possibly Avatar Shield, which I don't think works at the moment because when I tried it a few days ago, it affected (unknown) by -10700 or so (if only that was ac))
