    • Stake skill
I'd like to suggest a change involving the slayer skill, stake. Currently, as far as I know, there is only one stake in the game, the stats of which are as follows:

      <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Object 'wooden stake' is type weapon, extra flags bless.
Weight is 0, value is 500, level is 10.
Fragility is Normal, condition is 100%. It has been repaired 0/0 times.
It is made out of wood.
      Weapon type is stake.
      Damage is 3d8 (average 13).
      >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

My main suggestion would be that stakes are changed from weapons to items that can be used from one's inventory. 13 average damage? That's a bit weak, dont ya think? If stakes were changed from weapons to inventory items, then slayer players could use two -good- weapons instead of one horrible one. If it were changed as I suggest, vampires wouldn't even take the extra damage from the weapon being wood. One important part of my recommendation is that -very- few of the mobiles in the game are vampires. Why should one have to give up the use of (one of) their main weapon(s) just to be able to use ONE skill on a type of mob that is very uncommon. True, there are a lot of vampire players, but that makes stake even LESS useful for playerkilling. Now, I know that the IMPs of our beloved game are plenty intelligent and are in full control over what attacks do what damage and how often those attacks can be used, so I will end this post here and await interesting responses. :evil2:

    • RE: Scroll/Potion Keywords
I believe the scrolls you buy from shops work fine. Dunno about the player-created ones. As far as potions are concerned, I absolutely agree with you. It's been a pretty big pain in the ass to get particular types of potions out when I keep them in the same container, and it's my natural instinct to put all potions, scrolls, food, etc. in the same container. It's not that big of a hassle to keep them in seperate containers, but it is pretty messed up, and I'd like to see it fixed, as well. Just thought I'd second that motion. 8O

You can download IRC from http://www.mirc.com/ We've got a few people in the Sent channel. If you aren't familiar with IRC commands, I'll try to give you a quick rundown: After opening mIRC, click on the options button in the upper left corner, if it does not open automatically. You'll need to click the "Add" button over to the right. Name it whatever you want, but the server's name is EdgeIRC. The address is irc.edgeirc.net . The port is 6667. Give yourself a name toward the bottom of the window. Click "Connect." When your client is connected, type "/join #Sentience" Anyone in the channel can give you further help as you need it.

I'm not sure if anyone cares, but we have a Sentience IRC channel (hasn't been accessed by anyone other than myself and Londo) over on irc.edgeirc.net , port 6667\. If anyone wants to communicate live, come on over, I guess. The channel is: #Sentience . To all who are interested, I'll see you there.

Actually, I heard about Pimps at Sea quite a while ago. I believe it was in PC Gamer, and I'm pretty sure that it's an actual game. Btw, Arkain is #69 on the members list! :P
