Adrenaline

    I just wanna throw this one out there too see if it catches. Like in the title, I propose an Adrenaline type system to help in general fighting.

    What it is, is that physical type skills (circle, bash, kick) require a set amount of Adrenaline; which you'll gain with a successful hit with your weapon or if you're hit, to exert.

    The Adrenaline amount would be the same for all levels. The stronger skills would use a larger amount of adrenaline and obviously the weaker damaging ones would use less.

    When the Adrenaline is full, maybe there can be a damroll bonus or something. Throw a bone for those who don't feel like using their skills for the moment.

    Another thing, if you're out of battle for more than one tick, or if you're summoned to the arena or to another area, your adrenaline resets to zero. Hell you can even go as so far that you can't use some spells when you have adrenaline pumping through your viens.

    As I said before, it's only an idea, but it would be groovy if it made it's way into the game.

    Interesting.. a way to augment physical combat and reduce spell effectiveness… I like it (assuming we can implement it well).

    Well I didn't say skills needed to be augmented in power. They're powerful enough. It's just a way to reduce usage of skills in combat and allow players to depend more on their spells.

    Sorry, by physical combat I merely meant the normal combat hits; I wasn't referring to skills.

    ah ok, i get you now. But remember, you only get the boost in power if you don't use your skills, so there is an obvious trade off here.

    that'll be fixed when eq's are reset from the enchantments. Not picking on Arkain, but his damroll is so high I can die in 5 rounds. I'm not able to heal fast enough. It has nothing to do with his race.
