RE: WHAT NEXT?!!?!I chose new remort abilities because quite frankly, i dont feel much different than when i was a mortal. The only spells i even use are healing aura and cog. I also like the idea of "True Multiclassing" it would bring a bit more diversity to the game i think. Honestly if i an elf wants to be a paladin and a necromancer, i dont think they should have any problem doing that. RE: What do you look for in a MUD?As Riane said, I as well could not pick just one, instead i just picked PK combat, I greatly enjoy PK combat, I may suck at it, but its generally fun. Reagents just might make this one a little bit more entertaining however. Roleplaying is always a plus, Like Riane said, It definetly should not be forced. I much enjoy having an OCC channel where, if i need to, i can talk about things outside of the game within reason. And Riane also pointed out the Race/Class situation. It's true races and classes take no part in our Roleplaying as is. Meeting and talking to new people is always a plus.. If we didnt want to play with other players we'd go play single player muds im sure. I like a nice friendly society but at the same time competitive society as well. It tends to make the mud much more interesting. Questing and solving puzzles are 2 things that make a game much more exciting. I love questing, I certainly would pick questing here over pretty much any other place i have quested at. Though as Riane did say, its kind of plain.. Puzzles or more mini-quests would be exciting. Literary or artistic stimulation.. well ANSCII is pretty cool. I dont really have anything to say about it though. working on the game as an immortal.. well exactly what Riane said.. :P Gathering wealth in money is awesome. I love having a ton of gold that i do absolutely nothing with. I dont collect many items really. I would however love to see some better spears. I would like to see Combat placements, for instance let there be a first row a second row and a 3rd row, 1st being closer to your enemy 3rd being further away from your enemy. Weapons with specific attributes depending on the type of weapon would be great too, for example a whip being harder to parry, A huge hammer sort of weapon causing knockdown damage. I cant really say there is one thing in particular that i look for in a MUD, As long as Quests aren't limited per day and i can do as many as i want i think i will be a happy camper.posted in Suggestions Archive

RE: Reagentsi voted yes because there was no maybe, I feel it could both be a good thing or a bad thing..I have seen reagents in other muds and one in particular, im sure lots of us will know what im talking about, requires a ton of reagents and i just found it a pain to have to buy 100 of 6 different types of reagents just to be able to cast spells. On the other hand it could be a good thing for the mud, because it could bring in some more diversity to the mud.. Larger spells, smaller faster spells of course i assume would not require reagents for the simplicity of the spell, but larger spells like armageddon as you said, sounds pretty bad-ass.. It could also allow for some of the remort spells to become a little be more useful/powerful. Are you planning on using 1 kind of reagent for all spells? or would have different kind of reagents that have different magical properties allowing to cast only certain spells. for instance needing a fire reagent for a fireball, would however not be good enough to cast lightning bolt. All in all Reagents sounds like a good idea if done correctly. I would like to know a little bit more detail, how many different types of reagents there will be? are we still going to have the really powerful spells using moonstones?posted in Suggestions Archive

RE: BardsI Disagree on silence becoming a room affecting spell. Perhaps making another spell that affects the room working like silence making a room nomagic/nomusic for perhaps the same amount of time an inferno or wither would take. Wands, staves and potions however still being affective. Silence as it is should stay the same. Also, emtae the reason i want it only worn or only sung is because if you can do both and your singing at first and i silence you, you can do your little alias to wear your instrument thus making my moonstone completely useless.posted in Discussion/OOC

RE: Bored Remort 120sI suggest a spell called: Ice whip, it would cost 50 mana it would do the equivalent damage as a fireball casted on a vampire except cold damage. it could bring dex down some points. and because it has such a cool name to it, it should have a really cool string to it when casted, and in bright cyan color!posted in Discussion/OOC

I believe bards should have to hold thier instrument in order to play a song. I find it overpowering that a titan bard has the capabilities to do over 1k damage as is with just his attacks, but not only that casting curse of the abyss would bring that far up over 1.5k a turn plus he would be regaining some hp as well.
I've never seen an instrument that doesnt require hands to be played. -

I think you're going to have to explain that one a bit, Rothy. -Kick would be more useful if it lagged less and costed a small amount of mv. -Bomb would be more useful if you could make different types of bombs, flash bombs, smoke bombs, smelly bombs, explosive bombs, etc. -Disarm would be useful if you didnt lag for nearly 2 rounds. -Wands and staves lag too long to be useful in pk. -A Lot of the Elemental spells gained from mage classes do basically the same thing, I would like to see Intelligence affect spell casting. Fireball costs 50 mana it does a lot of damage and blinds, lightning bolt costs 15 mana does roughly just about the same amount of damage on a non-vulnerable race and doesnt lag quite as much. -Lacking of cold spells. -Channel should give back mana. -Energy Drain as is, a remort 120 could cast it on an elf and take 700 hp from the elf and gain back 500, lets assume this remort was a fiend, vulnerable to fire, the elf casts a fireball, it does roughly around 500 damage which is gained back from the energy drain. Energy drain only costs 50 mana and you can cast it in between rounds. I would like to see either the cost of the spell upped or it do less damage. -Cosmic Blast costs 75 mana, it does less damage than fireball with a chance to blind. -Control Weather is basically useless. -Deathbarbs costs 100 mana and does very little damage. -I mastered evasion in two hours and did not use it once. It should work more like sneak does. -Survey should work in the wilderness and should work like a sextant would, giving the coordinates and also showing possible near by locations in the wilderness. -I have noticed that spells also target the first mob of the same name in a room again, even if you just type cposted in Discussion/OOC
. -Slow shouldnt cost a reagent, it would be casted in combat more often and people might actually get a chance to use all of there mana in pk. -A skill to enhance magical damage much like ehanced damage would be useful. I hope that explains things much better Riane. -

I know there are a few areas being made or added on to currently. -Also how about giving the remort classes more skills/spells. -How about fixing some of the skills and spells to make things more interesting. -how about some good cold spells. -how about some remort elemental attack spells. -how about a healing spell much like the bard heal that heals all in a form. -How about spells that do damage and knock down opponents. -Disarm and stealing lag far too long, how about shortening the lag timer on those -how about making leadership not only give hr to form members, but also instead of having the experience cut in half maybe something from give each member 60% of it -75% of it depending what the % of the skill is. i believe this would encourage more lvling in forms. -you come out of hiding if you do any command at all including socials. How about changing that to allow look. -How about different forms of unarmed fighting styles. -how about combos, perhaps allow you to set up how you hit people. for example. combo attack (what form of attack) # (which number of hit) so lets say combo normal 1, combat kick 2, combat normal 3, combat normal 4\. this would mean your first hit would do a normal hit from your weapon, the second hit would do a kick, and 3rd and 4th would be normal hits as well. RE: Skill/item StakeFunny thing is, there is already a skill named stake.. The stake skill has been perfected by the Slayer race over the years as a trusty way to get rid of vampires. To stake a vampire, you must be carrying a wooden stake in your inventory, and your victim must be asleep. A successful stake will rid the living world of one more bloodsucker, whilst an unsuccessful one will only serve to piss them off. As you can see its a Slayer skill.posted in Suggestions Archive

RE: ArenaAfter an arena battle due to challenge finishes i believe both participates should be transported back to where they came from instantly after the match. I think the corpse should be autosacked, to prevent random players skulling their corpse. Other players should still be allowed to freely walk in if wanted to, but would not be able to interfere with an ongoing fight and would not be able to kill the winner. That way if people want to go in and have a mass killing orgy with lots of people, they can still do this.posted in Adjustments Archive
